The Uffizi has dug into its treasure trove of sculptures, objects and art to put together an exhibition geared toward children showing what it was like to live in Ancient Rome. Anyone who knows me knows I am a *huge* fan of Caroline Lawrence’s epic mystery adventure books set in ancient times, Roman Mysteries so for me, this is almost as good as meeting the characters themselves.

It was On exhibit at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery until April 24, 2022

The 30-odd works are at kids’ eye-level, making viewing easy for everyone. Kids can see ancient Roman life, from birth through school to adulthood, represented by everyday objects and scenes of Roman life.

The Uffizi can be overwhelming…so let us help you arrange a kid-friendly tour when you’re in town! Or, ask us about other wonderful stops in Florence and around Italy for kids to enjoy…
